At Dayton® our engineering team uses laser cutting, aluminum die-casting, airfoil blade manufacturing, and high-accuracy assembly supported by in-line balancing, aerodynamic capabilities, testing, vibration, and noise analysis through simulation, and strict physical testing to validate performance for real-world operation.
High Standard Quality Control
Reliability defines Dayton® Fans. Our quality assurance starts the moment raw materials arrive and continues through final dispatch. Every fan component that enters our production line is verified against documented specifications, and nothing passes without meeting our validated criteria.
To uphold our high-quality standards, we combine advanced manufacturing with uncompromising inspection. Our quality control team continuously monitors all critical processes throughout assembly, key dimensions and tolerances are checked at every stage of manufacturing, supported by coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), accelerometers, precision scales, and other laboratory-grade verifications.
In assembly lines, we employ automation to deliver consistency and stable performance. At the final stage, every finished fan and accessory completes a comprehensive test regimen before shipping. This rigorous quality testing and oversight across every production run ensure every Dayton® Fans product meets our exacting standards.
Our decades of experience enable us to craft high-performance fan and ventilation systems with accuracy, scalability, and dependable quality for industrial use. We can handle custom options for multi-factor improvements from 500 to over 100,000 CFM airflow volume, heavy-gauge construction, explosion-proof design in high temperatures in harsh environments indoors and outdoors, to meet each customer’s requirements.
Dayton® Product Range
Dayton® produces the most comprehensive industrial fan product range in North America, covering every commercial and industrial ventilation requirement across more than 200 configurations for a variety of applications.
Centrifugal fans (blowers)
We manufacture high-performance centrifugal fans with backward-inclined, airfoil, forward-curved, and radial blade configurations for large-scale applications from 36 inches to over 160 inches in diameter. They are known as squirrel-cage fans or centrifugal blowers, creating high static pressure regardless of system resistance.
Our specialized engineered blowers are used for controlling air pollution, exhausting hazardous fumes, dust, chemical vapors, gases, heavy airborne contaminants, and fine particulates in pharmaceutical production, laboratories, and other critical environments.
Positive displacement blowers
Our positive displacement blowers are designed for high-pressure operations to trap a fixed volume of air or gas in high volumes of air with each rotation and force moving out against high system pressure. Used to generate a constant flow rate for applications like pneumatic conveying, pushing heavy plastic pellets, wastewater aeration, bubbling air into sewage tanks, and industrial vacuum applications.
Tubeaxial and vaneaxial fans
We supply axial fans for inline and ducted systems, with tubeaxial designs supporting direct high airflow used in-line within duct systems to exhaust smoke or heat from specific machines. Our vaneaxial configurations provide the highest pressure with ideal ventilation in tight spaces like tunnels or large HVAC systems through guided airflow control. These Dayton® fans are versatile and available in sizes from 6 to 144 inches, suited for large commercial and industrial spaces.
Propeller fans
Our propeller fans are airplane-inspired with belt drives, designed for heavy-duty unrestricted airflow applications with the flexibility of higher-capacity air circulation. Our propeller fans act as wall and ceiling exhausters, offering fixed-mount solutions for ventilating indoor spaces, ensuring consistent delivery of high air to flush out stale air and moisture from factories, warehouses, greenhouses, and residential settings for both cooling and drying applications.
HVLS fans (high-volume, low-speed)
We engineered advanced gearless direct-drive motors for our HVLS fans that circulate air across wide areas, improving temperature, reducing humidity, air mixing, and thermal balance in warehouses, distribution centers, gyms, dairy barns, and manufacturing facilities. They are massive 24-foot-wide ceiling fans used for spaces with high roofs to move significant air volumes at low speeds with great efficiency, quiet, and require less maintenance at low heating and cooling costs.
Power roof ventilators
Designed for rooftop installation (ceilings), our upblast ventilators and power attic ventilators are built to discharge rising heat, moisture, and contaminated air directly from the upper levels of industrial and commercial buildings. Their function creates negative pressure that pulls fresh, cooler air in through separate vents, such as soffits or windows, promoting overall air circulation to prevent condensation, mold, and damage to structural elements and materials.
Inline duct fans (HVAC solutions)
Our inline fans are silent boosters that integrate within square or rectangular ductwork to maintain airflow through constrained layouts. Efficient for filtered air, handling high-resistance systems in commercial and industrial HVAC applications for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, providing quiet air movement with reduced noise levels.
Air curtains
We provide air curtain systems that create a continuous, high-velocity airflow barrier across open entrances, reducing infiltration, filtering unconditioned air while maintaining internal conditions. They are known as safety fan units mounted above a doorway and shoot a turbulent air stream of air straight down, preventing bugs, dust, insects, and hot air from entering a factory when the loading dock doors are left open for forklifts.
Fan Parts and Accessories
We have an extensive line of accessories and provide full support for all replacement parts and components, including fan blades, casing, motors, drives, mounts, impeller, belt guards, filters, inlet cones, outlets, drain ports, venturi, shaft, mounting frames, vibration isolators, and control units for the core product line.
Our extended range accessories are categorized based on their mechanical configuration and compatibility with our specific Dayton® fans and blowers. To make proper arrangements for replacement units and custom fan specifications, our engineers work directly with customers to select the right fan accessories and system components for every air movement requirement.
